For this staircase renovation, we removed the existing balustrade and carpet down to the original rough framing, creating a clean slate for a complete transformation. From there, we installed new solid oak stair treads paired with freshly painted risers to bring warmth and contrast to the space. The staircase was finished with a new balustrade featuring an oak handrail, updated spindles, and a more substantial newel post with added detail and character—resulting in a staircase that feels both refined and built to last.
